Peter Canonero, San Ildfonso College President. Dra Cecil is Valedictorian of SIC Grade School Class of 1997 and Valedictorian likewise of SIC HS Batch 2001. As a scholar she completed her B.S. in Biology in the Ateneo de Manila University and her degree of Doctor of Medicine at the University of Santo Tomas. Currently she is doing her specialization in Obstetrics at the Quirino Memorial Hospital. She is the daughter of an Ildefonsian, Emerson Mateo of SIC HS Batch 1970.

"Ondoy, Paggunita": Commemorative Marker is unveiled at the Tanay Parola

A commemorative marker was unveiled by Rizal Governor Jun Ynares and Tanay Mayor Lito Tanjutaco in a Commemorative Event entitled "ONDOY, ISANG PAGGUNITA", witnessed by foreign guests, national, provincial, and local officials, delegations of NGOs, GOCCs and the families of the victims of Typhoon Ondoy in the afternoon of September 26, 2010 at the Parola, Barangay San Isidro, Tanay Rizal. Noel Cabangon and Cookie Chua, acclaimed acoustic environmental musicians gave thematic rhythm to the touching event as a rainbow appeared in the sky an hour before sunset. We feature one of Noel Cabangon's Songs at the event entitled "UMUULAN SA TAG-ARAW, UMAARAW SAG TAG-ULAN", a song enjoining people to take action against global warming.
