With the above shown Tarpaulin Streamer at the "Glorietta", the distribution of Flyer Invitations after Masses at the Patio, the creative crunch time countdown has begun for the SICAA Diamond Homecoming. With the difficulty of getting the SICAA Officers together due to conflicting schedules, the SICAA Secretariat has come up with a "healthy" solution. Starting this morning, the weekly meetings are to be continued to be held at 6:00 a.m. with an hour of group aerobics along with a group named "Movers" coreogaphed by Noel, ang D.I. ng Bayan. The fresh air at the Tanay Park after an exhilarating hour of work-out lends to a fresh exchange of ideas. The consensus of this morning's meeting was to focus the affair on the 3oth of December on honoring the Teachers at San Ildefonso College. The brainstorming led to a noble realization that S.I.C. through the training of teachers, has been the source of mentors for the different schools in Rizal, both private and Public. Th Guest Speaker was decided also to be an Honoree from the SIC Graduates in Education. SIC's traditional niche is in the development of teachers and in turn provided many other schools of the expertise to establish themselves and even now compete with our Alma Mater. But as one Chinese Philosopher said..."no spring can be higher than its source"...
Another consensus was the approval of the Membership Committee's recommendation to quickly set up arrangements to obtain a wireless internet link at the Tanay Park site on December 30, for a live link to all Ildefonsians overseas who wish to greet their batcmates via a bigscreen projected web cam.
Another precedence setting decision to allow the 4th Year HS Batch of 2009 to participate in the event as auxiliary members of the Membership Committee. The SIC HS Seniors are excited about it as communicated in sicaa_friendster.
More updates to come.
